My Personal Story
I was a clear rookie when it comes to living spaces.
Right from the beginning, I had no idea what to expect when I first moved out.
Like most people my initial reaction was,
“YES, I can finally have the freedom I want!”
But with it comes the responsibilities and some of my very first mistakes with buying appliances.
Sometimes overpaying, most of the time buying the wrong appliance — I ended up picking it because they have the lowest price tag.
Coming from Rock Bottom,
I knew that this problem needed to get fixed ASAP.
So like any other day, I was searching for customer reviews about a certain brand of food dehydrator (which I won’t mention). Typed it into the search bar and BAM all I got were random results.
There were no clear-cut answers but just some promoted reviews.
You can probably guess that I wasn’t the first person to look up that topic. So, why isn’t there any unbiased review about it? There were some random news clippings here and there but not a single one that hits the mark.
It took me a little more digging to find that there are expressing customers sharing complaints about the product.
But if you take a look at other blogs, all negative reviews are hidden.
There wasn’t even a slight mention of the problem that people are experiencing. It only showcases the benefits.
It all has to stop,
I’m getting tired of researching for articles with a hidden agenda.
That’s when I decided to write down a few paragraphs summarizing what I’ve researched about the product (without hiding anything) — both positive and negative reviews included. I originally planned to write it as a comment but it will just get buried and ignored by other comments.
Instead, I post it on a blog so other people can see it.
Fast-forward to the present…
Soon enough, that humble article rolled over to me writing more.
This was the origin story for this blog.
I know that there are little-to-none juicy details in this story since that’s exactly how it all started – I won’t sugar coat it by saying that it came from a place of hurt. Rather, it was out of sheer nothingness of available content online plus a hint of boredom.
